How AUVSI is increasing member retention with Social Knowledge Networks

Last week I wrote about how we'll be demoing our new Presto AssociatioNet application at the Avectra Users and Developers Conference (AUDC) 2011 later this month in Orlando, Fla.

If you go to the show, you'll also have the opportunity to learn how the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is using Presto AssociatioNet to increase member retention.

AUVSI is the world's largest nonprofit organization devoted exclusively to advancing the unmanned systems community. It comprises over 2,100 member organizations from 55 allied countries, and serves 6,000 members from government organizations, industry, and academia.

Angela Carr, Vice President of IT for AUVSI, will be presenting how and why her association is using Presto AssociatioNet to create and manage Social Knowledge Networks. In addition, she'll be covering how AUVSI is using the application with Avectra's netFORUM association management software (AMS).

Attendees will get a first-hand look at how Presto AssociatioNet provides AUVSI an efficient, new way to provide diverse resources, information, and content products to its members. By socializing content using Presto's commenting, rating, and other social functionality, subject matter expertise and relevant information are easily accessible and usable to AUVSI members.

Angela's session, "Merging Digital Content and Knowledge Resources with Membership Demographics," is slated for Monday, Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Mark your schedule now to attend.

Also, while you're at our booth, makes sure you get your AUDC 2011 Sponsor Bingo card stamped. Completed cards will be collected for a drawing for some great prizes at Tuesday night’s closing reception.
